Default Western Turbines

I have tires being delivered. 2x 255/60/15 and 2x 275/60/15. Anyone know if these tires will fit on these western turbines?? 15x8.5 rims. Not sure of the offset.I know the tires will fit the rims and lug pattern matches but not sure if this set up will fit properly in the wheel wells?

I have a 79 C3.

Should....

Did you double-check the back-spacing? Were they previously on a C2/C3? Your front tires 'might' rub a little at a turn going into, like, a gas station. But minor trimming might resolve that (if they do rub).

I really like the look of turbines. Are you going to paint or polish them in any way?

.

thanks for reply. They are for sale locally on marketplace so wanted to check if anyone here had done it before buying them. They came off a C3. I know they fit. But not sure with my size tires. And since I’m unsure of the offset of these rims I’m not sure how much they’ll come past the wheel wells (or not).

yes, I’d have them sandblasted and repainted

If you can go look at them, lay a straight edge across the rim and measure from the flannge surface up to the straight edge. That is the back spacing. If its 3.5 they may stick out in th erear and rub wheel well at the bottom edges when you turn the wheel. I had to trim out the inner lip a little at the bottom

Where in Mass are you . I think I saw those rims of FB market place. He says they are the correct offset for C3s If they dont fit there was some 82 collectors editions up in NH for 1500 bucks.

Do you have these rims on yours?! These rims are in NH

i did see those collector editions but they are double the price of these turbines which I like better. Can’t beat the price either. Even if they do need some reconditioning.

was hoping someone here had used these on their C3 and could give me some info on the backspacing etc

I bought a set of turbines for an Eldorado (very unusual offset). Had them straightened and refinished by a wheel specialist. They turned out great.
