Great idea. I'll give that a try, thank you.

I hear you and that is where the % of total cars probably isn't the soundest way to calculate the real chance of odds; but it is all they have given us.
Just think, if you have a coupe with a factory hard top you would have a 1 of 1 car because according to the data only convertibles had them. That is the issue I have with math; you can make it almost anything you want to if you use percentages and statistical analysis. LOL.

That would certainly make going to NCRS a bit easier I think. But this one is in my garage with all the provenance in my home office so I am pretty sure there is at least one of them. LOL.

I’ll be pulling the engine out of my 73 today.
It’s completely stripped right now and an empty shell ready to go to the painter hopefully in October.
Once he is done aligning all the seams, I’ll get the chassis back so I can strip it.
A 496, TKO 600, coil over suspension and many other upgrades will be going in.
How do you like driving you new baby with manual steering?
I’m thinking about going from power steering to manual steering when I put the 73 back together.
I have a new Borgeson ps box sitting on the shelf but not sure if I want to use it or not.

Nice low option 72. My 73 is also a statistical one of one car too according to C3 Registry.

Keep in mind the "calculator" on the C3Registry does not take into account interior color quantities and leather versus vinyl breakdowns. That information does not exist. In addition for the 1973 and 1974 model years, exterior color quantities are not known. Plus, I cannot get their math to work. This calculator will lead you astray.

BTW, in 47 years of Corvette ownership, I have yet to see 2 identical C3 Corvettes, excliding Pace Cars, Silver Anniversaries, and Collector Editions. So just about everyone has a "1 of 1". And the ones on this Forum are all beautifull!!

Exactly my point 73and75. These statistical tools are fun to play with but greatly flawed in the results they produce. Thus the old joke, ask a statistician how much is 2+2 and he’ll reply, how much do you want it to be?

Well it handles nicely on the highway but turning in the driveway is a challenge. Not sure the last time I had a car without power steering but it wasn't a bad experience at all honestly.
Good luck with your decision.
