Tonight I’m proud to say I rode in my first Corvette. My 17yr old son was the driver.
Tonight around 11pm we lowered off her stands. Had son pour in some more PS fluid. Leaks like a sieve (Parts are coming). Set the headlights to up. Let him fire it up. Check for brake pedal. Pull it into drive. Lightly brake torque it. Once confirmed. Let him roll forward and stop. Let him take it round the block. Man! It was a big big block! I could hear a motor being driven like it was stolen. What came back was a huge ear to ear smile!
He took me for a ride. Felt like doing 90mph! Seems he only knew 1st gear. Limbered that motor right up! Explained the big D. We then put 107 bucks of shell premium and watched the gauge drop as he tooled around for an hour. Seems he loves the sound of opening secondary’s! Yep just kept praying she held together and the police where busy elsewhere. I must say it was a time to remember. Wait until he figures out the gallons per mile!
Been decades since I was in an open car. Forgot you can hear the trees as we went under. Some day I might even get to drive her!
Head long down the highway. Adventure found! Ear to ear.

I remember when our 17-year old drove his first Corvette in 2009. Same ear-to-ear grin and it happens now every time the motor starts. Priceless memory. Way to go Dad!
