Default Intake Manifold Recommendations

Hi all, I'm looking for a recommendation for an intake manifold. it will be for my Stock set up 350 in my 79. There are several cast iron ones on the normal websites. I would like to use a lightweight manifold, like an Edgebrook but not sure of the part number or style, any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Do you intend to keep the original Quadrajet carburetor?

The PO tore this engine down and scrapped the parts, so I'm rebuilding it from the heads up. I don't have a carb so I would search Craigs List, or Offer up to find the intake and carb. either together or separately. I need a ton of parts to get this thing back on the road, radiator, shroud, pulleys, gears. etc. I bought a new cam and lifters and doing my best to piece this thing back together. Any help is a blessing.

Hard to recommend an Edelbrock intake if you cannt say whether you intend to run a spread bore or square bore carburetor.

I wish I knew the difference or if one is better then the other. Suggestions? I read a few threads and the Eddy 2101 keeps coming up as the one of choice.

Really? I would think a Holley would be the more popular carb.
Anyway, decide which carb your running first. Then you can pick a manifold to suit.

what is your budget? do you know how to do carb work? the 80-81 LT1 intake is as good as virtually all aftermarket dual planes. and it is aluminum. and fits under a corvette hood. spread bore. fits a quadrajet. great carb when right. tough for the novice to work on. there are a lot of cores avail on craigs and ebay. usually the 50 to 75 buck range. a little research into carb numbers will get you into the right era and application. then you send it to Lars on here and you will not hae any carb issues. distributor? HEI off ebay. radiator. aluminum off ebay. dewitts 600 bucks. champion 300 bucks. no name chinese 135 bucks. shroud. 97-05 corvette electric fans and shroud. way cheaper than OE and superior. 100 bucks used ebay. ac? we will worry about that later... here is a used eddy 2101. this is a universal carb base. fits a spread bore or a square bore. https://www.ebay.com/itm/18553353986...8AAOSwlFli8~sW

Does this fit under the stock hood of a 72 C3 with a q-jet and stock dual snorkel air cleaner. I have a "Speedmaster" dual plane on now which was supposed to be the lowest intake and cant get a air cleaner to work. The snorkel hits the hood. I dont want to use a dropped base. The car cant breath with a 2" element and runs like **** over 4500 rpm. The Summit brand top air filter is too tall. I have a K&N on order.
Sorry to hijack the thread.
Thanks

The Edelbrock is 4.050 height, the Speedmaster is 4.750. Start a new thread.
