Just pulled my seats out to have recovered so,need to go ahead and replace the carpet, while my man has my seats, who has the good quality stuff,lol...and actually only need the front part.
I am tuning in because I will be tackling this job come winter in my new 72. Everybody sells the carpet sets, so are they all made by one or two companies? I find it hard to believe they all have their own source.
Did you use new foam for your seats? Foam in mine is totally shot.
I’m taking them to a friend, and this is all he does is recover seats and I think he also does furniture, but will just let him take care of them, the cushion is fine, well as far as being stock, they are faded, and driver side has a tear in the middle.
Between Ecklers Corvettes and Zip Corvettes I purchased all my interior parts. My door panels were in very good condition they would just fade it so I had purchased the interior dye from zip corvettes which was the spot on match.
AL KNOCK INTERIORS down in El Paso, Texas is the guy who makes most of the Correct Corvette carpet kits along with seat covers and Convertible tops and dash pads. There is Nobody who is as good as AL KNOCK Interiors! The man stands behind his products like nobody else I have ever done business with.
I have seat covers, carpet kits and even a new convertible top all made by AL KNOCK and they are amazing quality and durability. I would not buy anything like these parts from anyone else other than Al Knock. He sells the seat foams and every part needed to make the installation and they will pass the NCRS judging.
The company is online and easy to find, he might have some sales going on due to Corvettes@Carlisle being next weekend. You can't go wrong with AL!
