Default Corvette Assembly Manual

This may be an obvious question, but is the manual ordered by the assembly sequence?

I have my 69 dash removed and am about to reinstall it. I started wondering if there is a "correct" sequence to install it, center, driver, passenger for instance. Does the assembly manual provide this information? I have one and sometimes I think it is in assembly order and other times I am not so sure.

Thanks for the help.

No , to me the manual isn`t set up as a sequence manual . I just did my dash ,on my 69 . With the steering column removed , for more room ,and wire harness run correctly I started with drivers side dash first , more room to plug in all lights and plugs into back . Then reinstall column . ( column helps holds dash up in place ) Then center dash and last is the passenger . Before you do passenger side make sure you plug in the blower resistor on the back side of heater box .

Also, I wouldn't forget that there is a "mandatory installation procedure" for the steering column.

I think in a loose sense it is in sequence, beginning with the chassis basics, birdcage welds, and body seams & sealants. Then moves on to secondary sort of components and so on. The options in the last half of the manuals would be "inserted" into the appropriate non-optioned assembly steps. It's not detailed enough though to say that what appears on any certain page must happen before any following pages.

For sequence of disassembly/reassembly you are better off with the service manual.

Agreed, assembly manual is great for exploded diagrams showing where each part goes. Is there a washer on this side? or that side?
But the service manual explains the order of disassembly and reassembly.
