Will the factory alarm wiring in a 75 interfere with an aftermarket alarm? I've been trying to install a Viper 5706V in my 75 and I just can't figure out the starter kill circuit. I've put alarms in cars years ago but this car ain't havin none of it. I've asked the question but just can't get any info that will work. I'm not using any options with this alarm other than the door pin switches and the starter kill.
The factory alarm is very basic. It sounds a horn, pulsating when a door or hood is opened. Thats it. No starter interrupt.
No immobiliser.
the wiring for the factory alarm is extremely basic. So if it's not switched on. Can't imagine how it could affect your aftermarket alarm.
And these C3's are not exactly on the top of car theves list.
If you have a manual that will keep all the young ones from stealing it anyway.
The door switches in these cars just go to ground when the pin pops out. The courtesy lights have power all the time. When the door opens, pin pops out it connects to ground.
Perhaps your aftermarket alarm is wired to get power from door switch? Not recognise a ground?
As per starter interrupt, Almost all aftermarket alarms have you cut wire to starter solenoid and put alarm in series. When alarm triggers it interrupts the power to engage the solenoid. Pretty basic.
If your alarm also has an immobiliser. Then it also cuts power to Distributor or ECU.

Initially I had the alarm hooked up with the starter circuit going through the alarm controller but would not open the starter circuit and kill the starter.
You just have to cut the wire going to the neutral safety switch. That will stop the starter. It is on the side of the shifter or on clutch pedal if manual trans
