Default Repaint center armrest

The armrest behind the center console (the one around the emergency brake) is fading on my 82. I have the interior paint https://www.topflightautomotive.com/...ear_range=1982 but im not sure if this is good for that rubber material. Anyone else repainted with luck?

I used the Topflight interior dye (Corvette America brand).
Covers easily, but also scratches easily.

Neither. I used steel wool to scuff the surfaces, then I cleaned it with alcohol before painting.
I would think a satin or flat clear coat would probably help protect from minor scratches,
so if I ever remove the parts again, I'll try that.

But over all, I'm happy with the results.

I did mine but used a dye..lightly cleaned with acetone and then sprayed with interior dye..did most of my interior pieces with it, even a color change on a few used parts i purchased.
