Default Hello again everyone!

I am back!!!

I'm sure most of the folks I conversed with are long gone, but after 6 years, I am getting my hands on another C3......another 77!

As a refresher (and introduction to most), here was my car after I finished the frame-on restoration.

Before on the bottom

Before on the bottom

Before on top
Unfortunately after we moved to Texas, our roommate decided to bounce back to Florida...leaving us with the rent we couldn't afford, so the first thing to go was the car. 😭

Anyway.....fast forward 6 very sad Corvette-less years, I am finally getting another one!

It will need quite extensive work. A lot more than my first Vette, but I am WAY more experienced this time around. Not just in Corvettes, but in cars in general. This time I have been through school (UTI) and worked as a tech for a few years, so my experience level is WAY more advanced than it was with my first build. It will need a more in-depth restoration, so I will be doing a full frame off, and since it does not have an engine (I am currently parting out my 02 Avalanche), I will be doing an LS/4L60E swap!

I was always the guy that said I probably would never do an LS swap, but now that I know my stuff, it just makes sense... especially since I have a perfectly working one right in my driveway!

Anyway, on to the pics ...this is her as she sits! As you can see, I've got my work cut out for me turning her back into a 77. On top of the LS/4L60E, i plan on redoing some of the same things/mods I did to my first car. Swap out the 77 dash for a 78-82 dash, and removable rear window for starters, but that will come later since I am going so far in depth. Definitely going to POR-15 the frame and applicable suspension parts, get rid of all of the 80-82 exterior parts and fix the front bumper mounting flange among other things. I think I may be able to reuse most of the interior, but like I said, I'll be swapping dashes, so the 77 dash parts will all be for sale once I get the car home and get to tear into it.

Anyway, it's good to be back, and I look forward to sharing my new journey with everyone! I will be updating my YouTube channel for the restoration, and I'll post it up when I get my build thread going. Sorta following in the footsteps of TheCorvetteBen (chstitans42)!

A wash, a buff. she'll be fine.
And a lot of us have been here for many years, And yes. sometimes we seem to disappear for awhile, then come back. Your not alone there.
AND, 2 steering wheels! Should get around corners twice as quick!
Best of luck with your project !
