I'm looking at interior carpet color for my 71 with interior color code 412.
I'm looking at ACC carpets and they list 2 colors as blue for a 71.
Dark blue - which is too dark for my liking and compared to original and
Bright blue - which is too light compared to original. https://www.accmats.com/commerce/197...Flooring/3602/
Has anyone bought any of the above colors so they can give any feedback on the matter?
The attached pictures are from a 71 with the same color code as mine and has only 3k miles so it is very original.
Brother, Blue is a difficult one to match up, especially when you're trusting to pictures on line.
I needed new carpet for my Code 414 Bright Blue interior but when I looked at the on line pics, I couldn't tell between the Bright Blue and the Medium Blue. Keep in mind most manufacturers don't really match their dye lots or even product names to the exacting standards of GM. They just offer a range of colors that you have to sort through. So I contacted the vendor and asked for a sample of each. They sent them right away (most will do this) and I was glad I did because it turned out their "Medium Blue" was an exact match and their correctly named "Bright Blue" was much too dark.
Ask for samples before you buy.

I ordered a set of seat belts in dark blue and they came out almost black and that is what I'm afraid the carpet will be as well.

I ordered them from Corvette Pacifica but all of the vendors carry the same stuff.
The below picture is quite on par but in reality the color was even more dark.
The darker of the two samples is correct. The lighter blue was 1968 to 1970.
The carpet should match what is on this 1971 blue door panel.
That is a door panel with cutpile interior. I would like to keep the original loop interior. The cutpile carpet is called royal blue by the vender actually and is spot on but as I said I would like to stick with loop carpet.
