Thank you very much! Sadly for me, there is a lot of dimes involved with this car. But then, I love the car and it has so far been a great journey.

I spent too much time deciding where to bring in the reverse light wires. Just a guess, but thinking the wires would come through the firewall where the cruise control harness currently is. Am converting the auto trans to 4 speed and plan to retain the CC. Go through the firewall as original or up through the tunnel? Bored a 1 inch hole in firewall under the CC hole and used a grommet from my stash.

New hole & grommet for reverse light wires.

About ready for motor/trans to go in. Got everything in the engine bay and was easy with no motor in it.

Everything needed and easy to install with empty engine bay.

A few adjustments here and there of wires & hoses but ready for engine to go in.

Just wondering, why are you putting the stupid charcoal canister back in? Are you into originality?

It is looking very nice!
What manual transmission are you looking at?
What clutch system?
Unless you are going with a hydraulic clutch, weld in the bracket to the frame for the clutch Z- bar before you install the engine.
It needs to be welded at the exact factory location for the Z-bar to align with the threaded hole in the engine block.
Again, unless your engine block model year wasn’t cast with it, then you will need to go with a hydraulic clutch.

When I was looking at where the Z bar bracket mounts on the frame, there was not much info on its location. Couple members sent pics of their frame which helped and I mocked it up before pulling the engine out to verify location. Welded it in after motor out.
Car gets the close ratio Super T10 with stock shifter/linkage. Hardest part is getting the shifter mounting holes in the correct place on the auto trans cross-member. But, I get a car with manual trans and removable cross-member!

I didn’t see the bracket in your pictures so I made the post.
I have a template made by Leigh1322, for the exact location for the bracket if you know anyone who needs it.

It is hard to see back in there.
I remember your post about the bracket. Don't remember if it was a separate post about just that bracket location.

Been an interesting weekend working on the wiring. No rain so did mostly lawn work but messed with wiring some and what goes where. Found the pulse wipers option takes a dedicated relay on the transmission tunnel and wire harness. Took a lot of before pics of original wiring but as usual, not what you later want to see as far as routing, etc.
Next will be routing and tucking the harnesses in place and get the rest of vacuum hoses ran. A lot to all this. GM packed a bunch of wires & hoses in the car.

There is a lot of wires in here.

Patience is required getting it all hooked up correctly and tucked in place.
