Im installing a BBC into my 68 vette that was originally a 427 car. I bought it as a roller. I began installing the engine and 4spd this week and the engine had a 3 shive pulley on the crank. The outer shiv is bigger than the other 2, and hits the crossmember. I dont need 3 belts, its just the one that came with the engine. Question is, are the crank pulleys unique to corvettes or will most work? The crossmember has the notch in it, and its not a concourse car at all. I just want it running/driving. I dont have power steering rn, I plan on adding it in the future and can face that issue then.
If anyone can measure their bbc crank pulley I'd appreciate it. Thanks!!
The OD on my 72 454 is just a little shy of 6-3/4"
Thickness from the mounting face to the outside 1-1/2"
Distance from the center of the first groove to the second is .78"

Do you have an AIM for 68. It lists the part numbers and yes there are corvette specific pulleys.
Other year c3 pulleys will work. It depends on how you are going to run your belts if you need 2 or 3 grooves. I have mine set up like the original 427 and I run the crank 2 belt pulley belt to the power steering pulley, the power steering pulley is 2 and the outer belt runs the alternator...You dont have to do it that way , I just like it, I think it looks cool like the tripower
