Hello,
I'm new to the community and I just bought a 1980 c3. It has a few issues to figure out but one of the first ones is that the power windows don't move at all. The motor spins but nothing happens. My first thought was that a gear was stripped, but upon inspection the gears are both in good shape. The fan gear is simply just not touching the motor gear. Is there any way to fix this gap? Is something bent? Has anyone had this issue before?
Although the gears might look good, maybe there is a spot where the teeth on the regulator are born down. I had that in my 78 and they make replacement parts just for that reason. Got a new part and attached the old motor to it and it worked fine. And welcome to the club. Lots of info here that we love to share.

Thank you, it a very insightful video but I'm afraid it doesn't quite cover my problem. I will pull the regulator out tomorrow when I get the chance and try to really see what's happening
