...the car carrier took away our 1972 LT-1 coupe that we'd owned since June, 1982. Had tons of fun/learning experiences/successes/failures with it over 39-1/2 years of ownership.
Sometimes I think all cars have a little bit of "Christine" in them.
As I work on the car and it gets in better shape, I get older and begin to develop aches and pains that I didn't have before the car entered my life.
Timely post. I also have a 72 LT-1 I have owned for quite a few years and am considering selling it. Any regrets? I would most likely replace it with a newer Corvette.

No regrets. I'd wanted a newer, more comfortable, better equipped, better handling car for a number of years, and finally pulled the trigger. A week ago this coming Friday we picked up the 2015 in my avatar photo. Love it.

It was very strange to see the old one go. I was heavily 'emotionally invested' in it; when I looked under the hood at the motor and surrounding engine compartment components, I couldn't find a nut/bolt/screw/fastener that I hadn't been the last one to tighten.
Enjoy the C7! We have a 15 also (LT3, Z51, Manual). Very nice ride that you’ll have a blast driving. Completely different experience from the C3, as is the C7 forum vs. the C3 forum.

Oops. Big-*** typo on my part.
