coming home from dinner one night, ( it gets dark early now) the headlights would turn on but not pop-up! Weird because they worked fine the night before.
vacuum leak, you say? I Checked for vacuum leaks, and my conclusion was leaky headlight switch. Replaced the headlight switch, and headlights pop-up, and turn on. Problem solved, I thought,…
I noticed, I was not getting the “door open” buzzer, or the “you left your headlights on” buzzer. I thought, small price to pay to have the headlight pop-up. However; coming home late tonight, the dash board and instrument lights would not come on!! Turning the headlight **** all the way to the left and the courtesy lights would turn on, (under the dash, and rear deck light).
Is this an inherent problem with after market headlight switches, or did I screw something up??
I have never installed one of these repo headlight switches. But I have read on here numerous times that those who have had nothing but trouble with them. Some use parts off of the repo switches to repair the original.
