Sorry about the bad quality, but here are the codes on the passenger side of the block, any help? I Looked at all the decoders to no avail. I believe the first part is 191331213 and then t0602HD.
The left side numbers are a partial VIN. The right side is the assembly date ( June 2nd) and the following letters are an engine code.
As Ralph said, the VIN does not match a 1970 Corvette. Also the engine code HD is not a 1970 Corvette code.
HD is a 69 350/250 2 barrel carb with a TH350 from a A body, nova and big car
Just to clarify a tad: HD was used on other years and models (including Corvette) according to the Lime Book (downloadable pdf). The -9- in the VIN seems to indicate the '69 model year but HD was not used for Corvette in '69. Additionally the long VIN seems to indicate this engine was installed in car # 331,213, so which models had such a high production #? Lastly, the T in the engine code indicates it was cast at the Tonawanda foundry. I'm pretty sure that Corvette small blocks only came from the Flint foundry for '69.
