I bought a 1969 convertible 427/390 4speed to drive for a while and sell my 1990 convertible but after learning an expensive lesson on buying a car unseen in person as all the videos and pictures can never show you the paint job. Lots of guys say the paint is great 10 ‘ away or at 100 mph well let’s just say I learned my lesson. So with no power anything and a recent back surgery I am going to sell the 69 and keep the luxury car the 1990 lol the question is as matching numbers and only 47,000 miles should I paint it and get top dollar or wrap it and get more than it’s worth as is? Or would the wrap mess it up as being numbers matching? Sorry for being long winded but I’m recovering and have a lot of time on my hands 😂Thanks
If you’re selling it, just leave it alone. From the buyers perspective, I’d much rather buy a car without the flipper paint and deal with it on my own terms.
wraps are good for cars that are used as billboards. busy with pics and wording all over. one color and the flaws start showing big-time. i usually recommend maaco over 10k on up real paint jobs, but a numbers big block car? let the guy who is gonna restore it decide. i bought my 75 convert from copart pics. paint was horrible. but i paid 2800 plus fees and shipping...

sell as is. if the paint has enough flaws you are considering new paint, then likely a wrap isnt going to look good without bodywork. you wont recoop the money spend on either in a sale.
