My eyes are going crazy googling my radio. Only thing I know it’s a corvette radio but what year? Ok I have what was supposed to be a perfect 69 convertible 427/390 all matching numbers which I spent all my time verifying the numbers I did not pay attention to some other things like paint for one and lights ect. So fresh out of my back surgery I’m ready to start slow and tackle the light stuff. First it’s not stock even though I need to know what is the correct radio for the car. This radio says corvette but it has a cassette tape player and digital am/fm readout So after all this if anyone is still awake What is the correct radio for my car ? I thank you for listening and Big thanks for any answers and or pictures

Obviously, you know that radio is a newer version.
Your car would have come with either the Mono version or the Stereo version. No way of knowing unless you have a build sheet or
the original order form etc.
The mono version has a transistor convector that mounts to the interior firewall, the Stereo version has a larger amp that contains
2 transistors.
Here is the radio out of my January 69. Mono with the convector and part #'s corresponded to 68 best I remember. It is what was in my car as originally delivered. I've since sold it but at least you know what they should look like.

Walt, the original convector may still be attached to the lower windshield frame behind the passenger dash panel. As Joe said, if it only has a single round transistor, it's a mono AM/FM car; if 2 transistors it was a stereo AM/FM car. If it's not there, it's a guess without paperwork, so you could install either.
From what I recall, the factory radios look identical for a whole bunch of C3 years ('68-'76) with the only difference being the color of the numbers on the dial and the FM tuning light. If you don't care about such things, they will all work fine. The **** designs changed too, but they're less expensive to buy and swap out.

Correct ***** are not always easy to find. I you come across a set and want to look as original as possible, consider getting them.
I got lucky a few years ago and found an original 69 radio and ***** for my car at a swap meet.
Sold the 68 radio and ***** I actually had here on the forum.

wow thank you it’s way different! To bad it’s sold 😩
Sounds like the radio in your car is the same as my 73 has in it. Does it also have a bowtie on the cassette door? Pioneer Supertuner. The original mono radio came with the car when I bought it. I'm keeping it in for now because still have tapes that I can now listen to again.

I replaced the radio several years ago but still have the original. The two transistor stereo converter was retained under the dash..

Hi Scott here is the radio stuck in my 69 but it does not have ***** so I don’t know what they look like 😩

Not the same as mine. Looks like more than 1 radio manufacturer spelled out Corvette and put a bowtie on cassette door.
I know mine is Pioneer as the owners manual came with the car.
I wish I could find good faceplate, buttons, dials, etc.....just the stuff you see visually.....I have no interest in the radio functioning....but I don't want to go radio delete. Anyone know anyone who sells these parts.

Try giving this shop a call. They have a huge inventory of used parts. You may find some decent faceplate components.
