From the day I bought this project I noticed the ol 76 vette had a line just dangling it’s somewhere between the crossmember and the oil pan, I’ve little experience so for some this may be a dumb question but can anyone help me identify what this hose is.
It would really help if you found where the Other End of the hose is connected (if it IS connected).
If possible...take a picture from about a foot away where the other end connects...and post the pic in this thread.
As for the dangling end of the hose, stick a Q-Tip inside it and swab it...posta pic of the Q-Tip and tell us what is smells like.......transmission fluid/red-dark red........engine oil/black-slightly brown-or fresh-looking.....Radiator=Engine oolant-green-yellow-sweet smelling...Fuel System-gasoline smell....Etc
