C3 stereo options
Basic idea is:
- The original AM/FM/Stereo Delco and the two kick panel speakers stay. In fact it's been in a small shop for restoration - back to the way it was with no modification.I like listening to it the way it is.
- Bluetooth head unit and subwoofer have to be hidden. System has to have a decent remote control I can get my mitts on and operate without having to look at it.Don't want anything not period correct blatantly visible.
- Nothing custom or over the top. Just a reasonably priced system that sounds good and isn't overly complicated.
- Don't want to go down the rabbit hole with new carpeting, soundproofing, any of that right now. Later. For now it's just some tunes.

Speaker cabinets came from Innovative Corvette Solutions. Long story but I got a phone call one day from Ken Sholtz who owns that company. There had been a delay and apparently that man takes his work seriously. Very nice guy, helpful and makes a nice product. I could've made something myself I suppose but just didn't want to.

Crutchfield was also very helpful. I already found the amp and sub I wanted and they suggested the Kicker speakers and to use it as a bridged 2 channel system. Only other parts I needed was a pair of male to male RCA connectors and a very little bit of wire.
So this is it. I am in the process of restoring the compartment frames, doors etc. In the pics the batter is just plunked in, this is just me screwing around with it after I hooked it up. I am not an audiophile but this thing will absolutely get 'er done. I have zero doubt of hearing it over the wind and side pipes.
The video is too big to upload but here's a drive link to have a look. I know, I know. I am no photographer, I just want to show what it is.

my experience with hidden bluetooth, same as you. The expensive bluetooth actually worked where others failed..not same quality.

controller is on a bracket tucked down by the seat and center console.

I have a tiny Bose BT speaker that works great in my truck with no stereo. There's no point using it in my C3, but it might work for yours. Windows down, T-Tops off, the sound of the car and the road is better than any music.
I know that I am very late and the thread is very long, but I hope you can help me. Thank you again.
