1972 LT-1 price evaluation
Glad to hear that you've decided to keep it. In the mid 70's a friend of mine got this identical car, same color scheme in & out. His dad was a GM exec who knew another GM exec who was selling his LT-1. This guy was the original owner, must have only drove the car on nice weekends in the summer. Very low mileage, and looked like out of the showroom (like yours). The 1st thing my buddy did is have a 4.11 rear end installed. Let me tell you, that car was fun. He kept it about ten years and sold it.
To this day, his biggest regret is selling that car.

While a few do exist like the exceptional ‘71 Conv it’s hard to find an LT-1 that will do well in the unrestored survivor categories and yet have strong original condition to not loose those points in flight judging.
Note and for what it’s worth,,, I was recently told my LT-1 was overpriced. The basis was the restored red/tan Conv that sold at Kissimmee for $85k. He’s no longer in the picture,, but have you ever decided to never sell a car (like an LT-1) to someone who didn’t understand or appreciate what he was buying?
