I just had my c3 delivered a few days ago. I ended up going with montway. I was happy with them. Process was simple and they were FAST. I filled out all the information on their website Monday night and the car was picked up Tuesday afternoon.
my only complaint was the driver that picked up the vehicle didn’t give much notice that he was almost there. Called 15 minutes before pickup and only got about an hour notice on delivery.
But Montway themselves were great. They answered all my questions and answered my calls quickly.
Another for Montway, have used them allot with good reaults and recently tried Nationwide (Tom Rose my contact) and excellent service, he was keeping me posted constantly, recently my 69 was picked up on a Friday evening and dropped off to me Monday and placed the order Thursday... Tampa Fla to Sun City Arizona
This is good information, fellas. I've used brokers in the past, but would prefer to go to the source with one shipping company I can trust if I need one again in the future. I'm bookmarking this thread...

I used the UShip service (same one that evilBay shows on their car ads) and Montway ended up winning my business. I had no trouble with Montway or the driver they assigned to my vehicle. Good communication through the whole process and a more than fair price for an enclosed transport. Car went from Georgia to Texas. Ended up showing up a day earlier than scheduled.
I would not use a broker. When I got my C5Z I checked with a few shipping companies and then a broker. I ended up driving the car home but I kept getting texts, emails and phone calls from shippers for months after I got the car home. It was quite irritating.
I used McCollister's to ship from Louisiana to Indiana back in 2018. I would definitely use them again. Since then, I have been renting UHaul car trailers and doing it myself - the UHaul trailer works great with the 'vette.
You're rolling the dice when you use a broker. I'll make a long story short. I contacted KGT transport to transport a vette from Maryland to NY. After contacting the seller to pick up the vehicle, They stood him up TWICE! I contacted them and after multiple attempts, received a cancellation and a refund. This is when it gets good. I then contacted Montway and made the same arraignments. The SAME person that contacted the seller under KGT, contacted the seller under Montway. They picked up the car and did not deliver it to me for two days. This is when it gets better!! The driver contacts me on the third day and tells me that he's stuck in traffic and might be a little late. He said he would arrive at 1100 AM, he showed up at 230PM. After giving me a sob story about how hard he tried to get to me on time, he was very eager to drive my car into the garage for me. Needless to say, I said no. I inspected the car and the front bumper was damaged in two separate locations. He removed a bottle of touch up paint that the seller had placed inside the car for me and attempted to cover up his problem!
Used Passport Transport to ship my MK2 from the Florida Keys to Ohio. Excellent communication, diapers under all cars riding above, super conscientious driver. Would definitely use again.

Anyone have experience shipping their Corvette? I've researched several movers and packers in abu dhabi and have read varying results, both good and bad.
The companies that I have narrowed down are:
Montway
Sherpa
Moveauto
I realize these are just brokers but, I'd like to hear the input from the forum also.
Appreciate any advice! Thanks.
I will be moving to the East coast at the end of December and would like input on auto movers. Any personal experiences or recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've shipped a half dozen cars in just the past 5 years or so... a few cobras and three corvettes, ive used Montway with good success, ive shipped lots more over my lifetime with other transporters as well so here's my. 02$
First ive never had a car damaged ever, ive never had an issue or problem along the way, some better communication than others but always pretty much on time and again never an issue or claim not that it doesn't happen... and I only use enclosed.
I used Montway as of recent and again good success and communication but i have also found that many of these transport companies use the same truckers, they put the route out there and truckers they work with pick up the order. Companies like Reliable use their own trucks but most others that I know of use some of the same independent auto transporters... almost every trucker that's come to my home has been an independent auto transporter picking up the order for the dispatch company and most I'm aware of do exactly that.
i have used "uship" in the past to get quotes but I get bombarded by quotes for the next several days and frankly they are all a couple hundred within each other.
hope this helps and I'm sure you will get allot of good advice here but again ive stuck with Montway as ive had consistent results in service and communication and i know they are big enough to have good coverage on the vehicle.
Montway just delivered an '87 Blazer from TX to Indianapolis last night at midnight (for a good friend), more than 6 hrs late. they wanted to wait until 7:00 am (but he needed to be at work instead) .
A huge issue was that the truck had a convertible top and they'd loaded it on the trailer backwards (open trailer), which caused the top to tear to shreds, and flopped over the windshield and burnishied some paint off the hood also. Also broke part of the tops frame. Good thing there wasn't any downpouring rains.
How many older convertible tops could withstand a 900 mile trip backwards @ 75 mph ?? They'll likely be buying a new top for him at approx $1,400.00 !
PLYCAR: Top notch one of the best in the business, if not THE BEST. Reliable companies in the business. The owner is a car guy himself & his collection would blow you away !!
I used Eight Brothers out of FL (Carrier not Broker)
I was very happy with them, they do classics, exotics, and luxury nationwide shipping. Great communications, price was higher than most but worth every penny IMO.
