Not counting the door and actuator on the passenger side that controls inside/outside air when on MAX cooling, how many other actuators/blend doors are there in a 1976 A/C heater duct system?
Well there are 2 diaphragms that control outside air. One up top inside the wiper tray far right. One inside the A piller above and slightly forward of the number 2 body mount.
Then there are 2 more on the heater control box that operates the door that puts air up for defrost, and down for heat. And center for vents and air-conditioning. So, counting the 2 that control outside air or recirculating air. There are 4 actuators.
And a vacuum switch on top of the box that controls vacuum to the hot water shut off.
