I purchased a set of the electric headlight actuators off of EBay. The ad stated that they came with all hardware and detailed instructions. Well, when I received them the box was really banged up and on one of the units, someone had removed the 2 removable bolts and then they were missing. No big deal less than $1 for new bolts. However, there was no instructions. To me that was a big deal and I contacted the seller telling him I needed the instructions. I figured they should be able to send me a pdf copy of the instructions or a link to them. Instead they sent me a link to a partial video on YouTube of a set installed. Key word partial, as the guy might have had a series of videos on this install and then only uploaded the 1st one. I told the seller that wasn’t good enough and if I couldn’t get instructions I would need a return authorization code. They then offered a partial refund. After 5 or 6 emails back and forth they suggested that I have a Professional install them. I told them that while my mechanic is inexpensive, I was still looking at a cost of about 250 to have him install them. They then offered to give me half of my money back. At this point I was tired of the back and forth and figure I will just warn others by leaving a negative review and accepted the refund. I have gotten the refund so they were honest there.
All along I was clear with them that my only concern was with how to wire it. I have seen many of these installed on YouTube of the different makes of these. None of this style actually show where they wired them in.
Here is where I am hoping someone here knows where to wire these in. This is the style that uses all 4 of the holes that the old actuators were mounted in and required cutting a notch so that the arms have free travel. There are 3 wires. A ground, and a blue and a red. I am assuming one goes to battery and one to lights so that when the lights are turned on it knows to open the actuator. But which one red ore blue? Here is some pictures of them installed. And of the wires with only ground being actually installed.
Wow, you think it would be cheaper to print out another copy of the instructions and mail it to you.
Unless this is a third party seller, or possibly the kit was previously opened and returned.
Just guessing....attach the ground wire to the frame.
Touch the red wire to 12Vpositive somewhere in the engine compartment...if an actuator extends the red wire would be for UP.
The blue wire would be for DOWN.
Post a link to the Y.T. video...maybe a member can advise you.
Try sending an email to Richard at richard454@comcast.net. He sells them and list his on ebay. He may be able to help.
Thank you for the suggestion. I emailed him and he did indeed help me. They are now working. The red wire hooked up to a constant source, i.e. my alternator and the blue wire hooked up to a brown wire on the running lights.

So...I'm guessing the Blue wire is the UP wire when the light switch is on.
When the light switch is OFF the relay switches over so the actuator receives power to LOWER the assemblies. (now I get it...yes, I'm s-l-o-w )
Blue wire- is the control wire, doing into you cab. connection to your dimmer switch.
Red Wire- 12v (add fuse) .
Ground (if you have) is anywhere in the body
