Like many of us, I spoke with Ernie many times on the phone about restoration or parts questions. He seemed to have an infinite amount of patience, even for me when I was a newbie. What a nice guy. And a terrible loss.

He liked to tell a story of coming across some guy in a vette on the side of the road in NH near Hampton with his hood up. The guy was trying in vain to get the vette running and Ernie pulled over and asked if he could help. The guy basically told Ernie to get lost. That he wouldnt know anything about his Vette and should just keep driving....i loved the way he told it!!!
