Default 1970 LT1 engine compartment opinion

Gents, i really could use your help. I'm trying to buy this beautiful car but i need to make sure i'm not overpaying for it. interior, exterior and undercarriage i'm ok with it. I'm not sure about the engine compartment. I know for sure that carburetor has been replaced with a 650 cfm (originally the car had the 680) but other than that i can't tell what's not original. Most importantly i can't tell if the important parts that make and lt-1 and lt-1...are there (solid lifters etc).
Car is number matching and it is a real lt1 block (at least the engine, still checking on the trans). Any opinion would dramatically help guys! here some pics
thanks in advance everyone

what's not original and how bad it is? not looking for perfection but i'm paying lt-1 price..

is this carb ok as replacement?

Here are my thoughts:
Can't tell if it really is original engine (LT-1) without seeing the stampings on the block.
Exhaust manifolds are not present, and entire smog system is gone. (Big dollars)
Water pump incorrect and incorrect color
Thermostat housing should be aluminum, not chrome
Hose to bottom of air cleaner has metal fitting broken off air cleaner and stuck in hose
vacuum actuator for wiper door should not be black- should be a goldish cad
There is no pcv valve visible in the left valve cover where it should be
The air filter diameter is slightly smaller than it should be
Spare tire carrier is too light--that's a late70's/early 80's cover
Accelerator cable sheath is broken
Vacuum take-off to headlight doors and wiper door is plugged
Additional vacuum hose for something somewhere is just lying there

I would classify this as a "pretty" engine compartment that is nowhere near correct. If you are paying LT-1 money, you want to buy a correct LT-1. A "used-to-be-LT-1-until-multiple owners screwed it up" doesn't warrant LT-1 money.

Hard to see much from those pictures but plenty of things jump out. Details matter. Carb was a 780 cfm originally and they are expensive if you find a correctly dated one. The replacement is functional but not "correct". Valve covers are on the wrong sides and are replacements made later than 1970. The valve cover screws are just hardware store items. Lots of incorrect replacement items. This causes a diminution of value equal to the cost to correct it. The lack of originality we can already see makes me want to pass on this one and look for a more correct example with more attention to detail. Very skeptical on this car. Someone who does not care about the details should buy it.

I think this comment is spot on.

Better pics needed. You say you are sure it is an LT1, what info confirms this. VIN cannot corroborate, but there is a list of about 15-20 items you can check that indicate it's an LT1. Not trying to be negative, but you want to get what you're paying for both in the model and condition.

Re the rocker covers - everytime I change the oil or adjust the valves I think I ought to switch them. It would make adding oil MUCH easier.

The grills appear correct, but,the ambers lenses are not.

I don't know the work/$ involved in returning to rear exhaust with respect to the body work needed to do that.

I am amazed at what people pick up, the details that others see.

Have you seen the car? Driven the car? Check for rust!!!

Cristian! You are in Sweden/Norway/Finland?

There are a number of 'ifs' here, but if you are set on an Lt-1, this might be, depending, LOL, something worthy of more consideration.
