Default Corvette Expo 2023

I know this may be a better topic for the Southeast regional forum or events page, but I’m wondering if anyone here has gone to the Corvette Expo in the past, and if it’s worthwhile attending.
It’s in pigeon forge this year, and I’m in north Ga, so not too terribly far.
I looked at the vendors list for 23, but not too many of the “big” vendors we normally see at car shows.
This year has a booth from Al Knoch, NCRS corvette parts, Full Theottle Corvette, and a few more of the big names.
They are also hosting a cruise through the Tail of the Dragon, which would be pretty awesome, but I’m still in the restoration phase, and won’t be ready till maybe next years expo.

Anyone been to past shows?
Is it worthwhile?
How was the swap meet area?
Was it well organized?

Many thanks!

Golfobsessed and Bills17n72:
Looks like you guys are in for a pretty good haul!
Thankfully, I’m not too far away, or my wife wouldn’t be down with the trip.
This will be our 30th anniversary trip.

If you guys end up going to the Expo, please feel free to look me up on the CF, or shoot me a text. I always like to meet up with other likeminded vette-heads and maybe have lunch or dinner.

I’ve met up with other CF C3 members at car shows, etc in the past, like Richard454, DUB (RIP), EliRedand Black, 69ttop502, etc.
It’s always cool to put a face with a name.

If there’s any interest, pm me and I’ll give you my phone number.

Our kids live in Cosby not far away so making a vacation out of it... who knows, maybe I will find the late C3 I'm looking for there.

I went a few years ago when they had it in the summer during the pandemic. There wasn't much to see, mostly C7 corvettes with every JC Whitney accessory in the catalog.

The vendor list on their website says it's for 2021 at the bottom, so I don't know how accurate it is. I vended there for 30+ years, but finally stopped going about 7 years ago. Funny thing, they still had me listed on the vendors list 4 years after I had last been there.

As a vendor, for years it was a great show, but after they moved from Chilhowee Park in Knoxville, to Sevierville, it really started to decline (it's now moved a couple more times). A lot of vendors dropped it after the Sevierville move, because it got a lot more expensive to do, the vendor spaces got smaller, and the shoppers were fewer. I hope I'm wrong, but from what I've heard it's become mostly a show & shine for late model Corvettes?

It will continue to be a well kept secret, if you don't post the most important details.
