I've been eyeing the c7 zo6 since it first came out... and just recently had the opportunity to purchase a 2019 zo6. Everything I thought it would be is, fun, fast, and yes great gas mileage when your not in it...lol. I've been drag racing for over 30 years, so had to try that out. In stock trim first time down I ran a 10.8@130. Now the sad part, not ready yet to let it go, but eventually the c3 will have to go. Very mixed emotions, blood, sweat and tears... lol. Ton of great memories, cruise-in's, discussions, which included this forum - Either way, I'm still within a great community of Corvette owners.
Hey Rob, congrats, C7s are great cars! We actually went in reverse. Owned over 150 cars over the years, but never a vette. Until '15. Bought a '15, then really learned the history of Corvette's and started to get into them. Bought a '72, then a '17, then a '68 L71. After several long road trips in C7s (super for road trips btw), the wifey asked me to get something in the interim that would be a little more comfortable for her while we're waiting for an ERay - so bought a '20 CT6V Blackwing and another car of a foreign variety and let the C7 go. But..........we've sent a deposit in for an ERay because they look pretty cool to us.
I think you will really like your C7. They are gorgeous and really very practical too. You have a really nice looking C3 - you might just decide you want to keep it because you can have different fun with both! Best, Paul
Congratulations on your new Corvette! I love my C7. Why not keep both?
Since 2008, I've had this as well. Over the past 30yrs, the wife has been very supportive with my car passion. Let's just say she doesn't want to park outside. The weather is getting warmer, I am definitely going to work on her...

Good to hear about the "paid for," in my case looks like the zo6 will always be there for me... sorry to hear about your experience.

Nice to have wives that support our car habits (and we support their hobbies too!). If you have just a bit of headroom, you can stuff more cars in the space you have. And make it easier to work on them too.

i would wait a year or two before thinking about it. After a summer of driving around a modern car and you go for a ride in the classic vette, you will want to drive it more often.

Wow nice...! I / we are blessed for sure....! I have a two car garage with 3 cars and a Harley in it.... I have a 4 post lift as well....
Congrats on the C7! We too have looked longingly at them! Currently a C3, C5 and C6 in the stable makes the C7 a tough choice. Somebody must go to make room. I’m hard on the 69 stays. My bride is hard on the 07 stays. It is hers. The 02 was Grandpa’s vette. Per our family it must stay. Yeah two car garage. Doh!
I envy your choice of the C7 but strongly recommend keeping the C3. Make it happen. We do.

wow I felt the opposite when I drove my friends C7 and than jumped into my C3 it was like night and day ..
I had a Lingenfelter C4 in college in the 90's and was a blast of a car despite having my '68. I drove the Lingenfelter less and less and eventually sold it with zero regrets, but glad I kept my C3. If you can manage to own both, I'd highly recommend it.
