exhaust manifold question

Default exhaust manifold question
I have a left hand exhaust manifold with air holes 3969869. My Cars & Parts book tells me it is for a 1972 LS5 Corvette
but the date casting on back is J225 October 22 1975? It is in good condition so it is easy to read. Any Thoughts?

That's a 70-74 454 manifold, for the date I'm not sure, I would guess it's additional production after for over the counter / replacement parts???

That manifold was not used on any other Chevrolet big block, so with a 1975 (or 85) date it would have to be a service replacement part.
