Default Steering wheel and buttons

Hi guys can you tell me if the steering wheel in my 69 427/390 is really only 5” from the seat front to the bottom of the wheel? I’m only 5’-6” and my little legs get crushed on entering. It’s a 15” wheel. Also in the other picture there are 3 buttons under the dash , the center one turns left and right and the two outer ones pull down and push back up , please tell me what these are for. Thanks

Your 15" steering wheel doesn't look to have have enough dish for a '69? You can see how deep mine is, and I'm 6'4" and 260lbs, fit fine (but it's a 14" wheel too).

As for the buttons, you really should get your hands on a use manual.

With the car running, you pull down the left button and your headlights will flip up, you pull the right button and your wiper door will open. The middle switch will stop your wiper motion, used when you want to change the wiper blades. Yes, you really need to get an owner's manual.

That steering wheel is really low, imagine me at 6'2" struggling to get in the cockpit. The first thing that I did to fix that situation was get an rebuilt OEM tilt/tele unit....

Thanks I just ordered a manual and wow I love that you put in the telescopic steering column 👍. If I was keeping this I would do that and convert to power steering.
