Default A question about the stowed soft top.

I'm going to put the hardtop back on my car and would like to know the best way to keep the top folded from scratching the vinyl window? I'm in the process of removing the scratches. Didn't think it was possible to polish clear vinyl? I've seen the soft top pillows but pretty much everything that comes in contact with the rear window it will leave a pattern on the window.

I put a towel folded the long way across the rear window before folding the top. Keeps the window fold line from forming, also protects the plastic. Once the top is folded, it doesn't move, so scratches shouldn't be an issue. By the way, your license plate is only a few hundred off from George Lucas' THX1138. Did you choose that number on purpose, or did it just work out that way.

There used to be a pillow available for this purpose. In lieu of that, I’d go with lowbuck’s suggestion.

edit. Found it.
