Aftermarket Rear Suspension Experience
I'm researching the replacement of the entire original rear suspension with a modern aftermarket solution. I'm only considering rear suspension kits, and I will do the deed myself. I've looked at three aftermarket kits so far, and others exist. This will be neither a casual nor inexpensive job, so I want to be settled with my decision before I place an order. To that end, I solicit information from those—and only those—who've completed this swap. Sooo...
C3 owners with actual experience retrofitting an aftermarket rear suspension, shade-tree or shop-install:
I request brand recommendation along with anecdotes, advisories, experiences, discoveries, "parts-not-included-but-needed", post-job performance reviews, etc, etc.

as you can see from the picture, the T-arms are offset inward to allow for wider rear tires.
I also installed their Smart Strut kit which enables positioning the adjustable struts for the particular way the car will be driven.
Give them a call.
I also added Rear Sway Bar (Splined) | 1963-1979 Corvette (with StrongArms) - Ridetech
If I would do it again I would look at this since I needed to redo the rear TA's. C7 hubs are much better than the C3 hubs.
Rear StrongArms System for C7 Hubs with 33/35 Spline Outer Axles | 1963-1979 Corvette - Ridetech
Everything installs with no mods. AND MOST IMPORTANT THE SPRINGS ARE IN THE PROPER LOCATION BEHIND THE AXLE AS THE FACTORY SPRING.
Benifits.
1. Offset trailing arms for wider rear wheels.
2. Adjustable ride height via coilovers & mounting location.
3. selectable spring rates, and easy to change / replace.
4. Diff removable without crossmember removeable.
5. adjustable shock selection.
6. no mod's required.
down side.
1. cost.
