I installed a new window motor on my 80', the window goes up and closes OK, but as soon as I start driving the window drops about 2-4mm, if I raise the window again it just drops again, the coil spring is installed correctly and working OK, is there a clutch on the motor gear that is supposed to stop this from happening, I've had the whole mechanism out the car and just can't see what else it could be?
Sorry....skimmed over that....
So, no....no clutch or anything like that....if the window is dripping from the weight of it, the only other thing it can be is the worm gear and/or gear wheel are not at a quality spec....
Take it apart and look....did the motor come with the drive wheel or did you have to use the old one? I have seen both available.....
