Default Picked up a '70 This Weekend

I've had 3 C5's. This is my first C3. I've got a '72 C25 GMC truck my grandfather purchased new so I'm used to working on this vintage engine, etc. so that has been helpful. This one has plenty of little issues that need attention which is exactly what I wanted. I like to stay busy. Only bummer so far was having to tow it home in a downpour for 5 hours. Oh well. T-tops leaked less than i was expecting! Run and drives pretty well. Frame and birdcage were very clean. The seller was nice enough to let me pop off the sill plates and kick panels to check out each side. Carb needs some adjustment and ignition timing needs sorted / perhaps upgrade the points, etc. Some leaks here and there. Swapped plugs so far and replaced the trans cooler soft lines to the radiator. 5/16 trans hose was impossible so thinking 11/32. 3/8 will fit but may be just a bit too big.

350/auto, A/C, power windows, power steering, power brakes, AM/FM, deluxe wheels covers, tilt/telescopic, dark green interior for that hippie vibe. Love it. :-) I'm still learning what was std and what was optional in 1970 so some of the items I listed may be std.

I love those offbeat combinations Harry!
They are so period correct.
There are a million Yellow Vettes with Black interiors. Nice to have something a little different bother.

I agree! I'm digging in on the mechanical items first to baseline it and then will start on the cosmetics. She could use new carpet (only bad in one spot but...) and a new drivers seat cover. Other than that, the interior is in nice shape.

Great options. The deluxe wheel covers are very underrated. Congrats.

I do too. The original ad said it was a black interior but I could tell it was green. It will be harder perhaps to find interior components but I'm looking forward to it. Carpet and driver seat needs replaced.

Agree! Everyone that sees it that doesn't know anything about early C3's is going "oh my gosh those are hideous--you are taking those off of there right?"

Noop.
