Brake light switch
Does anyone have a good working knowledge of this brake light switch with cruise for a 1979 corvette?
I bought a replacement. And although it’s hard to believe, it could also be faulty.
My belief is that power enters the switch through one of the rear terminals.
When the brake switch is applied, power is disrupted to the second terminal in the back,
(there by cancelling the cruise circuit),
but then is transferred to the two front terminals simultaneously one providing power for brake lights, the other providing power for the hazard light switch o the steering column.
I came to this conclusion by using a jumper on the terminals.
Any thoughts?
Am I incorrect?
Thanks
Mike
