My son and I are taking 2 cars to our city's annual car show Saturday, and I was getting the '68 cleaned up this evening. I rediscovered just how gorgeous these cars are! The lines are beautiful. All of them. We've owned lots of cars but I think C3s are near the very top for beautiful design - including all years.
I also was reminded that C3's are really small - nice when you're cleaning them up! Aren't we lucky/blessed to have this hobby?! Best, Paul
I agree......there is not a better looking car than a C3 Corvette.....it was the dream of my teenage self......and still is today. And it does always surprise me how small it really is.

Back in the era when cars were designed with taste and style. "That looks cool, let the engineers figure out how to make it work, this is what it needs to look like"
Larry Shinoda, Bill Mitchell, Malcolm Sayer, Federico Formenti, Marcello Gandini, Giotto Bizzarrini, pretty much anyone who was at pininfarina back in the day.... hat's off to all of them.

Best car style ever the C3 has. First time I drove mine I felt like I was in a flying saucer, with those molded front fenders seemingly rising up in front of me. So cool....
My son and I had a lot of fun at the show. The most fun was when we'd see parents taking pictures of their kids in front of the cars. We'd go over and let the kids sit in both cars so they could get their pictures taken 'driving' the car. It was extra fun because they all appreciated it. One family had 4 kids and the three smallest ones got their pictures taken. Their daughter (probably around 14) was watching, but from a bit away. Her dad told me 'she's a real gear head and would love to sit in the car but she's really shy'. I asked her what she liked, and she said 'Shelby Mustangs!'. I told her that my wife and I have owned 29 Mustangs over the years, but she should sit in a real sports car (just kidding with her). GREAT big smile as she was sitting in the car. 'This is really small and low - I really like it!'. It's a lot of fun sharing the hobby! Have a great day, Paul

Years ago at a car show a Mom & her son, maybe around 8, walked up & were looking at the Vette.
I could tell the little guy was a shy one. He just kept looking & smiling...not saying a word.
Finally I asked if he would like to get behind the wheel. He lit up like the 4th of July.
I pointed out the gauges & what they did. Gave a little Corvette history lesson.
By the time he got out Mom was in tears. She told me he loved Corvettes and they would remember this forever.
Had a really warm fuzzy feeling leaving the show that day....
I thought there was a gentleman on this forum that found a matchbox/hot wheels that looked very close to his Vette, so he bought a bunch and hands them out to kids at shows. I thought that was really cool, and mucho respect to him for doing that. My Vette matchbox car was what got me hooked on our fiberglass hot rod.
