Default horn button question

I purchased a horn button kit for my 81 vette. The three pieces all fit togther nicely. I can not figure out what/how to permanently attach them to each other. there are 3 tiny little hollow pins that align the emblem and retainer on the back of the "ring"/button. Any ideas? I searched the forum and internet in general and could not find anything. This is a picture of what i bought only without the anniversary emblem

Hello ktrim -- Assemble the horn button, lay it flat, upside down on a towel and a piece of wood, and "pean" over the 3 pins with a punch and a hammer

The horn buttons are sold disassembled because the button gets painted to match the interior, which is a lot easier to do with the button apart. '73and'75 described the process for assembling it well.
