Hey y'all, not looking to kick off a roast session or a brand bash, but I was looking over the bushings (lower and upper) I ordered from Ecklers ~ 1 year ago and they don't look as fresh as those from Moog. I am concerned because the upper ball joints I ordered at the same time do not fit and feel of a decidedly lower quality than Moogs.
So, in the spirit of doing things one time, the right way - what are yalls opinions and experiences with these bushings? Should I rock them, or chuck em and order fresh from Moog? Lower arm bushing, already rusting?? Upper arm bushing.
My great fear is ofc completing all this front suspension/steering work for a few components (such as these bushings) to fail in a short time. I know NOTHING about the qualities of rubber or bushings in general. Thankyou for letting me know not to worry about the shells, but is there any way to test the constitution of the rubber bits? Or is a good squeeze and looking over for obvious cracks good enough? Is the white glazing a sign of dryness/going bad? Or is it like that white film on chocolate and it's no biggie?
Unlikely white residue aged condition.
who knows what brand it is..does it say a country?
even moog is mexico or india for these bushings when idid mine couple years ago.
