What ohms does the tank unit require?

I put a new sending unit in, original gauge, i used the wilcox gauge diagnose pic and it looks like the resistor, i would think being 55 years old it wouldn't hurt to replace either way. too bad wilcox isn't around the resistor i saw they had looked like a good replacement and upgrade.
