squeak problem
Have 1972 convertible with factory original removable hardtop. Rubber seals all around between top and car squeak like crazy. Front, back, and around both windows. Seals are about 2 yrs old. Very annoying. Tried spray silicone. No improvement. Has anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions??????????????????? Thanks.

I have a bad squeak on my c6 right behind my wife’s head! Tried all kinds of silicone and weatherstripping treatment stuff. You can actually hear the noise when you drag a rag across it with the silicone. A friend suggested vasoline. That is what I am going to try when I get home from this trip.

Curious how long you have owned the car. I have never been in a c3 that did not rattle and squeak.
I guess you could try to tighten the front pins up a bit but I do not think it a rubber issue. Good luck.

Have owned it a couple of years. This is very distinct from normal body squeaks. Only happens when hardtop is on and not with soft top. Can actually hear exactly where the squeaks are coming from. For example, if I roll the windows down an inch then the squeaks emanating from window are gone.
