Hello I have an L-48 350 engine out of my 1978 corvette with 30k miles. I was wondering if anyone could give me a value for this engine because I would like to sell it? Thanks
I would shove in corner as in post 2..
otherwise advertise it for 500 and take who is in front of you for 300 (or less if you want it gone) cash including seat belt.
you should post your location and or try to sell here..
Are you going LS? I'm with the others too. If its the original engine from the car, that would be its greatest value, so if you kept it and ever wanted to re-sell your corvette, buyers may want the matching numbers. Otherwise, I don't think there is anything unique about an L48 engine of that year, especially being the low power smog era. If it were an L82, the bottom end would have a forged crank, and maybe forged pistons, with a 4 bolt main.

As I stated earlier, this engine is worth more to you than anyone else. A L48 in standard form is only interesting to someone with an old car looking for a cheap replacement engine so they can get to work.
