Default Two 3rd Gens Hanging Out

My wife's first car was an '83 Berlinetta, and she was always going on about it, so a few years ago I was able to surprise her with an '85 "Starship" edition. It was a two owner car and in really nice shape with less than 60k miles. We have a lake house in PA, and we keep her Camaro there, so when I got my C3 I thought it fitting to leave it at the lake too. They look pretty chummy together.

My daughter refers to it as “Besties”

Pretty cool! Were those the ones with that wild radio in the middle? Looks really 80s sci-fi? All my knowledge on 3rd gens is on Irocs.

I wish she would have been into IROCs, because it would have been easier to find one. Finding a clean Berlinetta was a 3 year challenge. The radio is indeed crazy and referred to as a "pod". I have the original and had to replace it with one that actually worked from eBay. Going to send the original off to get fixed one of these days.

Good shot of it here:

That's awesome! I've always found those starship cars fascinating. Seems like a cool concept that just wasn't given enough time to play out.

Robert, did this Berlinetta package offer any kind of "Starship" badging inside or out?

Greg, no, but they used the term in their promotional material.
