Each to their own! I understand gassers and how they faded in 1967/8 and how that led to the street freaks and street machines of the 70s and 80s and gave way to the pro Street look of the mid to late 80s and 90s but donks or bubbles....yuck

I'm a big fan of street freaks and a '70s guy (high school class of '74) and I think a C1 looks really good as well as many C2's as street freaks. The C3 body shape just doesn't look right to me as a street freak. Just a little too aerodynamic looking to be up in the air I think.
There are a lot of really nice '70s style C3's around like this one that belongs to a friend of mine. It was his dad's car that was done back in the '70s. I don't remember seeing any jacked up C3's in the '70s.
