I’m wondering how the molding around the glass comes off (the outer edge) heat gun?

 

Often after all these years the molding's coming lose on it's own. Before damaging your tops, you might want to call Melrose T-Tops and ask them the best way to remove it. Melrose restores glass tops and is the company that makes the repro rubber edge molding. From my experience they're always willing to help. 815-758-2783
