Default Ignition Shielding installation question

I’m in the process of re-installing all of the shielding and brackets that the previous owner removed.

I have most everything installed but am having difficulty with the vertical shields where they go over the wire routing brackets that attach to the back of the block.

On the LH (Drivers side) it looks like it is supposed to go over the bracket and a wing nut goes through the shield into the bracket. A little tweaking of the shield and the bracket and i think i can get it together.

on the RH (pass side) I can’t seem to figure out how/where the shield goes in relation to the support bracket for the wires. the one i have is bent and twisted in a way that leads me to think the PO bent it to move it out of the way, so i need to know where it’s supposed to go, so i can get it straightened out.

I’ve gone through the AIM and all the pictures I can find, but cannot see exactly how they go.

Can anyone clear this up for me?

Thanks,

I’ll take some photos tomorrow… Afraid I don’t have any in inventory at the moment. If you get a response before then, so much the better!

Thanks Stan, looking forward to see what you can send. I’m at a loss on how the right side comes together

Thanks again Stan, those are great pictures!

that first picture really clears things up for me - I need to bend that wire support bracket a bit so it ends up horizontal and goes inside the vertical shield.

Can I trouble you for a few pictures of that engine that give me a bigger picture view? I'd like to have them for overall reference as i move forward.

Here’s a few…

If you have access to Facebook, I have more detailed photos on my site - Stan’s Corvette Restoration.

Forgive the dust/grass… I didn’t have time to turn the compressor on and blow it off.
