hoses

I had to have a new rebuilt engine installed to my '78 C3 and I noticed these two hoses not connected to anything. Are they just for vents or should they be attached to something? Thank you.

You should also grab a manual and aim for your car.this is ca emissions but should be close. I am betting you no longer have some of these devices

You seriously don't need or even want that thermo vacuum switch. What is surprising, is the fact that a professional mechanic didn't remove it and put a simple pipe plug in it's place.
