73 with 70's it, what is the right stock number for old style gray center wheels with no alteration necessary.?

Here's what I used. No rub at all. I did use hub centric mounting rings as the American Racing wheels are lug centric. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/are-vn2157861us

TTO are the original wheels but need a 5mm spacer to clear calipers due to the fact they were designed for drum brake cars back in the day. Here they are on my 76

Default Thanks for your info gjohnson

The wheels pictured look a little
lighter in color than the standard
Gray offering, are they current
wheels? Also where to get spacers?

This 76's color combination, orange over tan, is just like the '76 that was my wife's first Corvette, which she later traded in on a '79 C-3. We've often wondered what happened to the '76. Any chance the last digits in your car's VIN are 4005222?

These look marvelous. Are you running 8.5" all around, or 10" D's on the rears? It could be an illusion, but the rear lip looks wider than the front. I would love to run the 10" wheels on the rear but don't think they will fit, and 10" would likely be a bit wide for my 255/60-15's.

8.5 all around and 255-60-15s all around, they were a direct bolt on to accommodate the disc brakes no spacers needed.

I'm a huge stock rally rim fan, but those look so good that I'm going to buy a set as well.

My apologies, OP. I don't mean to hijack your thread.

Golf - Any difference in weight between the stock 15x8" steel rally wheel and these? Aluminum can be heavy as well, but I imagine that the 1055861's are going to be lighter. No weight in the spec sheet, so I can only guess. Reducing unsprung weight can make a pretty sizable difference in off the line accel, so it would be nice if these are lighter. The rally wheels are fairly heavy.

I couldn't speak to how much lighter but can feel the difference when putting them on vs rallies

I recommend looking at 17” wheels, it’s gives you a lot of choices on quality tires. I have a set of 17’s with Michelin tires, the difference in handling over BFG’s is amazing.

I bought them 5-6 yrs ago .I believe the TTO from American Racing are lighter grey than the other versions they offer. Spacers are 5mm billet hub/lug centric from www.motorsport-tech.com
