These were in a bag of miscellaneous hardware that came with my car. As I’ve been rebuilding things I’ve steadily been going through it and using it up, but i have no idea what these are for.
They are serrated on one side and interlock perfectly. If you turn them against each other they sort of ratchet in one direction.
Any ideas on what these could be for? Do they even belong on the corvette?
68-72 Corvettes use them on the rear bumper brackets where they attach to the frame, 73-82 Corvettes use them on the front bumper brackets (or braces).
Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me or perhaps it’s an optical illusion on my screen, but the holes in those washers look too big to be for the bolts for the bumper braces or frame extensions.
I’m thinking that these are the washers for the lower control arms at the rear mounting position… That application uses a similar serrated washer and a 9/16”-18 bolt so the hole is going to be big (bigger than the 1/2”-13 bolt used for the bumper braces). If you only have two of them (one for each side), that would be my guess.

Could very well be, the OD doesn't seem very big compared to the ID and those on the rear of the control arm aren't much larger than the bolt hear as I recall.
