...my Orange 1974 L-48 auto coupe was born on 9/11/1973 VIN#01950. Minimum option car with no A/C, no tilt-tele & crank windows...actually the way I like it especially in an older classic car. Trim tag says 9/8, but I have a letter from GM that says the "unit" was built 9/11/73.
...what was really cool was when I had the car out at Bloomington Gold for the 25th anniversary of the '74 Corvette in 1999, two of it's immediate sibling's were there in attendance too, VIN# 01949 & 01951, which was kinda cool too to have the cars on the assembly line that were in front of & behind mine there at BG.
...bought it in May of '89 with 27k miles on it and now has just a tad over 52k. Has been with me 34years & more than half my life.
..
...it is a very original car and unrestored and has gotten Bloomington Gold Survivor Award & NCRS 5 Star Bowtie Award, both for unrestored Corvettes.
I'm 65. I'll give you both my houses, my entire fleet of cars, all of my assets if I can subtract 15 years from MY age and you add it to yours.
In 5th grade or so I just couldn't understand Ponce de Leon going in search of the mythical Fountain of Youth, tromping through the Florida everglades battling 10 billion mosquitos that had never, ever before tasted human blood.

Now I do.
...well, we're close as I turned 62 in January. When I was young I thought I'd never make it to 50, yet here I am. Thanks for the offer, but I have my own house, a 30 x 40 garage and also a fleet of 8 vehicles. I'll just keep my 62yrs, but thanks though.
While I've had my C3 only about 6 years, I've had my 66 Fastback Mustang almost 34 years... I understand when you say it has been with you half of your life, my Fastback has!
I think that is WAY cool that you had 3 consecutive VIN numbered cars from back in the day all in one place. That is unreal. BTW, your car is phenomenal, but I'm a bit "Corvette Touched", ha!
