Power brake booster Clevis length

Power brake booster Clevis length

Does anyone have a 68-76 power brake booster out of their car that can verify a measurement for me?

I had my booster rebuilt and just went to install it. When i hook the clevis to the brake pedal, it’s only a couple inches off the floor.

I’m measuring 6 7/8 inches from the back of the booster to the hole in the clevis.

Your pic measurement appears to be about 5 3/4" from the back of the booster to the center of the hole on the clevis. My stock '69 booster measures exactly the same as yours..

Thanks, for the confirmation. With the steering column in the way it's hard to see what's going on up there. I missed the hole and had actually captured the pedal arm between the clevis and the pin. Went back at it and got it in the right place!.

Now all i have to do is figure out how to get that wave washer in between the pedal arm and the clevis. It's tight!

Does that model year clevis thread in & out?

When vacuum is applied later, it may retract even more.
